Project : Train a group of young adults for a cappella songs

Background :
There is a group of musically inclined, visually challenged young adults. The group is called Suranjali. They give performances in public events.

A cappella music is specifically group, or solo, singing without instrumental sound, or a piece intended to be performed in this way. Thus, all sounds are produced only by mouth or tapping on body or whistling.

A few examples of Hindi songs sung a cappella are:

  • Pehla Nasha, Pehla Khumar – sung by Ali Wardi

 

  • And this rendition of Ghanan Ghanan and Rubaroo…

 


Goal :

Practice a few songs from different genre (Bollywood / nationalist / devotional) in a cappella style

Requirement :

  • Working with other trainers
